Family and Senior Homeless Initiative - Mentor Program Thursday, September 8, 2011

 

Family and Senior Homeless Initiative is the faith community’s answer to Mayor Hickenlooper’s call for a 1000 congregations to embrace 1000 homeless families as part of Denver’s Road Home. In partnership with the faith community of Metro Denver, Family and Senior Homeless Initiative helps homeless families and seniors, overcome the major obstacle of securing stable housing through mentoring and funding the security deposit and first month's rent.

Familes and Seniors Mentored: 930

87% remain in permanent housing one year later

Total individuals moved into housing: 3119

Mentoring Congregations: 325

Families waiting for a mentor team: 25
